The shop takes its name from the works of Anna Buchan (‘O. Douglas’) in whose books ‘Priorsford’ is a thinly disguised Peebles.

Shirley Neilson, formerly from the Old Children's Bookshelf in Edinburgh, brings a wider range of interest to the Peebles shop, aiming to feature books offering local Peebles, Edinburgh and Scottish Borders interest in addition to the children’s collectables formerly stocked in Edinburgh.
